Lab grown diamonds are a more affordable option to natural diamonds and have found to be ten times more durable.  They are completely identical to mined diamonds, chemically, physically and optically – they just happen to be force grown in a fraction of the time in a laboratory.

Lab grown diamonds are almost impossible to distinguish from natural diamonds, only the use of specialised testing equipment will differentiate them.  Lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds have identical chemical and physical characteristics, exhibiting the same sparkle associated with natural diamonds and often a fraction of the price of a natural diamond.  Lab diamonds should always come with a certification stating them as grown.
So, in short lab grown diamonds are exactly the same as natural mined diamonds, just made by humans!

Not all lab grown diamonds are ‘flawless’.  As with mined diamonds, lab grown diamonds will exhibit variations across the 4C’s (Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat) and will receive grading reports from independent gemmological organisations ranging from poor, at the bottom end quality and superlative at the top end.
